- This telephone number is a scam, They claim to be from HSBC and that you have had three large amounts taken from your credit card. Can you confirm you card number. HSBC will never ask this hang up and phone the number on your credit card and speak to the real HSBC, They phoned me twice as I told them that it came up no caller ID, They then phoned back and it showed this number, I again repeated that HSBC do not ask you to confirm your bank details over the phone. Very cleaver if you phone the number they have recorded the message from the HSBC banking system.
