Safe: -This is genuine. I assumed so but was shocked by the comments on here. I have checked directly with Halifax and they confirm it is genuine. The number is used by their Fraud team.

Dangerous: -Very plausible call from "Lloyds Bank Fraud Team". To check ID, he sent a text - press Y to confirm when you get it. Reading it closely, it appears that they wanted a payment of £2450. I declined to press Y. Said he would then cancel card and I'd need to go into a branch. I agreed to this and asked which branch. Could hear him googling the Lloyds branches near me! Ended up calling me a *****. I called him something far worse. If in doubt, or just to be safe, hang up and dial your bank direct. I've had some crap attempts at phone scams but this was half-decent!
Unknown: -Scary text from mbna about unauthorised transaction to deliveroo. Scary because has my correct name, phone number and last 4 digits of card. Also spoofed a genuine mbna number to tell me to expect the text. Also dud an automated call after I responded to the text also with my correct name. Can't be genuine but I don't use this card do they must have hacked mbna to get genuine data

Dangerous: -A text saying it's from Halifax asking for a yes or no answer regarding a purchase I didn't make. What's alarming is a text came through on my genuine Halifax thread telling me that I would receive a text shortly. However both texts had the last 4 digits of my account wrong.

Dangerous: -Text informing me Halifax we’re going to contact me, followed by another text asking to confirm an online payment to Deliveroo - they referred to my Cancer Research MasterCard, which mine isn’t. Have blocked number.
