- This number has phoned our home multiple times over the past couple of weeks. They claim to be from an energy provider (though they never identify which one) and want to talk about loft insulation. My mum was the one to answer and she was convinced it was genuine, so she agreed that someone could come out for a survey. This person never turned up and a follow-up call (different caller from the first, she said) claimed their 'agent' had tried calling multiple times on the agreed day but we never answered (I checked our phone's history and this was a lie; there were no missed calls from unknown numbers). The caller was abrasive and kept interrupting my mum. She told them she was no longer interested and not to bother but a third call came a day or two later. This one claimed to be a customer support manager. She first apologised for the failed home visit (apparently the 'agent' had some sort of personal emergency – something the last call managed to miss out, weird eh?) and wanted to reschedule but my mum told her she was no longer interested and instructed her to remove our number/address from their list. The woman suddenly became abrupt and rude, constantly talking over my mum (I was listening in) and eventually the caller hung up when my mum got uncharacteristically firm with her for talking over her. We've still no idea who these people were or what company they allegedly work for; I think we narrowly missed out on being scammed. If not, their customer service is the worst.

I refused and when I told him that he was a scam he got angry with me and began shoting so I discontinued the call and after he attempted 3 or 4 more times and lso left a message, I blocked the number! I am etting fed up with these calls and am getting stressed about them!! I am 79 and DO NOT WANT calls like this!!!
